I am a Costa Rican visual artist whose work explores transformation, resilience, nature, and emotional connection through painting, installation, and mixed media. My artistic language is deeply inspired by butterflies, flowers, trees, and organic forms, which I use as symbolic elements representing hope, migration, metamorphosis, and spiritual growth.
After a professional career in banking, I had dedicated fully to the arts in 2010, developing a body of work that merges fine art with social awareness under the concept “Arte con Conciencia.” My practice includes oil painting, mixed media, sculptural objects, immersive installations, and participatory workshops designed to foster reflection, connection, and collective transformation.
My work has been exhibited in more than 50 solo and collective exhibitions across Costa Rica, the Americas, Europe, and Asia. Through my series I had created atmospheric and symbolic compositions where butterflies often emerge from trees, flowers, and light-filled landscapes, inviting viewers into spaces of contemplation and emotional resonance.
In addition to gallery exhibitions, I had developed art-driven collaborations and site-specific projects for hospitality, corporate, and cultural spaces, including installations, murals, sculptural interventions, and design collaborations such as her artistic dinnerware collection created with SUKASA.
My work seeks to transform spaces into sensory and emotional experiences where art becomes a bridge between nature, consciousness, and human connection.
Butterflies have been a recurring motif, representing both freedom and hope, allowing my work to convey a sense of positivity and constant change.
